In A Nut Shell

Amritha Alladi is an assistant local news editor at the Pacific Daily News in Guam. Formerly a local news reporter, she joined the Pacific Daily News in July 2009.

Before moving to Guam, she worked as an anchor and producer for WRUF AM850, a CBS affiliate radio station in her hometown of Gainesville, Fla. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Florida, she wrote for The Gainesville Sun and Gainesville Magazine. After graduating in December 2008, she went to India to intern with The Hindu, India’s national newspaper, and CNN-IBN, CNN’s sister network in India.

Amritha’s interests include reading, writing, international travel, the French language and culture, scrap-booking, tennis, and Indian dance. She visits India every year with her family during the summer and/or winter holidays.
